Health & Safety

If you are injured at work, report to your first aid attendant immediately.

If it is after hours, report to your supervisor as soon as possible.

Located at the Central Okanagan Public Schools School Board Office, the Health & Safety Department manages WorkSafe BC claims and return to work programs for employees in the district. The District Health & Safety Manager, District Health & Safety Supervisor and Traffic Safety Officer operate from this location.

Central Okanagan Public Schools believes its workplace should be a healthy and safe environment. To achieve this, our district has established and will maintain an Occupational Health and Safety Program designed to prevent injuries and disease. We are responsible for ensuring workers are provided with adequate instruction in health and safety and for addressing unsafe situations in a timely, effective manner.
